ok....you KNOW this guy is single.
I couldn't even fathom trying to have sex in that room........maybe he has "other" uses for those pipes he installed.
CYRiX @ Jun 26th 2006 1:11PM
HAHAHAHA THATS HILARIOUS

"ok....you KNOW this guy is single"
Ahahahahahahaa! Ditto, but still id love it, i mean come on. That must be awesome to wake up and see mario on your wall. You have to agree!
bv @ Jun 26th 2006 1:14PM
Wow, why don't you do some investigating before calling this person a single loser male.

See the pic that says "me"? Shes actually kinda cute.
Tiago @ Jun 26th 2006 1:14PM
LOL! When you're a fanatic, you're a fanatic! (maybe I'll paint my room with metal gear stuff :x)
Anyway, it's a little better than painting it pokémon style!

"Wow, why don't you do some investigating before calling this person a single loser male."
Because I have a job with a firewall. (btw...since I can't see the pic you just linked, how do you know it's not a relative?) :P
Besides....the comments I can make are much more fun this way. hehe
And finally....I still stand by my opinion that sex in that room would be just......creepy.
randomshagz @ Jun 26th 2006 1:20PM
I think that is love for the SMB. It reminds me of that episode of Scrubs where JD and Turk painted Prime and MegaTron on the walls of the nursery.

bv, I didn't see the extra albums with a picture of the owner of the account. Anyway, where does it say it's her room?
Optimus @ Jun 26th 2006 1:50PM

Loser, stop projecting.
The room is saweet.
bv @ Jun 26th 2006 1:50PM
Conrad, the link you posted brings you to her album. After looking at a few of her head shots, she might be a little too good looking to be doing something as nerdy as this. You never know though. Kotaku posted the same story and claimed the owner was a chick as well:
http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/top/omg-the-super-mario-world-room-183242.php#more
So, I'm not sure what to think here. :-/
DG @ Jun 26th 2006 2:04PM
I think of a bunch of video game nerds just fell in love.
bv @ Jun 26th 2006 2:04PM
Conrad, me again. I found she posted in the comments for this story on digg:

Heres what she said:

why hello everyone. i'm the one that painted this in my old campus house. this was my first attempt at a mural and it was in our front room, not bedroom! we had parties at our house, so i didn't do anything massively 3d b/c it would probably get ruined... i really had no idea how to go about it, it was done with regular interior paint, and spray painted papier-mache boxes/ posterboard...that i hot glued to the walls.. everything was done freehand, i penciled it on the walls first from pixelated screenshots i found online...and used large bowls and masking tape for curves/lines. it turned out to be the longest, most tedious project ever.. about 2 months of the room being cluttered with tons of tape wads, drop cloths, gladware containers of mixed paints, and crusty paint brushes. i got sick of working on it all the time, but once i started, there was no turning back.. not to mention the walls were so botched up from cracks, holes, warping, and old paint. as for it not being the "original mario", i liked the colors and scenes a lot better from super mario world. it was just an idea i had, and figured i'd be painting over it ( weren't allowed to paint-rented house), but the new tenants kept it. ...and i do have very. strange. dreams."

Lucky is the guy who gets her.

Hey, wouldn't the title be "A trip to mario LAND, without the gameboy"? I mean, the Land games were the ones made for the brick gameboy.
Yeah, sawry, I'm picky, I know...
Dision @ Jun 26th 2006 3:23PM
Why does Luigi have Mario's face and build?
OmegaX @ Jun 26th 2006 3:35PM
Dision: Not quite. Definitely Lugig-with-Mario's-face, definitely same height as Mario (as far as I can tell without Mario being in the picture to compare), but from what I can see, too skinny for Mario.
Yoshi Likes Boys @ Jun 26th 2006 4:32PM
She probably lives like five blocks from me, if it's a campus house in Columbus. Oh damn. ;) I need to see this shite.
Geist @ Jun 26th 2006 5:05PM
Oh dear. A bunch of geeks just wet themselves when they saw the pics, didn't they...
Matt @ Jun 26th 2006 11:49PM
avoidcliches, umm...Katherine, I'd like to check out your room. Is everything in the whole room painted with Nintendo art? If you want I can spray your bed with my Wii.
JK, I'm not sexist.
But seriously, what's your phone number?
